Cara Mund announces run for Congress
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – On Monday, former Miss America Cara Mund announced she is running for North Dakota’s sole congressional seat as a Republican.
This announcement comes just a couple of days after the NDGOP state convention where Alex Balazs was endorsed by the party.
Mund ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. House seat back in 2022 against Kelly Armstrong as an Independent.
Mund said she filed paperwork with the North Dakota Secretary of State’s office.
She said she is waiting now to get verified and make sure she is on the primary ballot in June.
