BNSF Railway logoDES LACS, N.D. — BNSF’s important line throughout North Dakota was totally reopened Saturday night after a Friday morning derailment, the railroad says in a buyer advisory.

One monitor of the principle line close to Des Lacs, about 14 miles west of Minot, N.D., reopened on Saturday at 5:25 a.m. CST; the second monitor reopened at 6:34 p.m.

The route had been blocked by a derailment of an intermodal prepare at 3:36 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 [see “BNSF main line shut down …,” Trains News Wire, Feb. 24, 2023].
