MINOT, N.D. — Authorities have released the name of a 22-year-old man who died after crashing a pickup into a concrete embankment on the outskirts of Minot Friday, June 9.

Ivan Campos of the Minot Air Force Base was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado south on the Highway 83 Bypass near the Fourth Avenue NW exit ramp at approximately 6 a.m. Friday when it crossed into an oncoming traffic lane, according to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The pickup then hit a concrete embankment that held a sign in place, the release said.

It’s unclear what caused the crash, nor is it known if the man was wearing his seat belt. Conditions at the time of the crash were foggy, the release said.
