Air Force opposes Chinese-owned corn plant for North Dakota – KTVZ

The U.S. Air Drive is telling North Dakota leaders it believes a Chinese language firm’s plan to construct a moist corn milling plant close to the Grand Forks Air Drive Base poses a nationwide safety risk. The Fufeng Group’s proposed $700 million mission had been touted as an financial boon. Now opponents say the situation 12 miles from the Air Drive base creates the potential for espionage. The navy isn’t specifying what sort of safety risk it’s frightened about, however Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochenski says he’ll ask the Metropolis Council to disclaim constructing permits for the mission and to refuse to attach it to public infrastructure. Fufeng officers are declining to remark.
