Veteran walks across Nebraska, raises awareness

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Nebraska veteran is on a journey, to stroll throughout the state of Nebraska.

Jason Hanner is strolling for the initiative ‘Stroll for Veterans.’ The aim is to boost consciousness for veterans affected by PTSD, traumatic mind accidents, army sexual trauma, habit and homelessness.

Hanner bought began with the group whereas residing in Dallas.

He met up along with his good friend and founding father of the group who was passing by way of on a special veteran stroll from Tybee Island, GA to Santa Monica, CA.

He says since getting began with the stroll he has raised extra consciousness about these points. And serving to change lives alongside the best way.

“As I used to be strolling somebody that I hadn’t heard from for years and years reached out and instructed me that what I used to be doing was positively impacting her life,” Hanner stated. “As a result of now she truly had someplace to show, she had avenues that she didn’t know she had beforehand.”

Hanner began his journey in Wyoming on September 23. Now he’s 433 miles into his journey and plans to finish the stroll in Omaha subsequent weekend. On the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge.
