Sept. 26 (UPI) — A horse that broke away from its proprietor in Nebraska ended up requiring assist from firefighters to flee from a swampy space.

The Nebraska Humane Society stated 4 officers responded to a swampy space close to Cunningham Lake in Omaha on Sunday after a horse named Dakota fled from its proprietor and have become caught.

Assist was summoned to the scene from the Omaha Police Division and Omaha Hearth Division.

Firefighters used an aerial rig, a harness and a security rope to assist pull Dakota to security.

The horse was reunited with its proprietor after a rescue operation lasting for about two hours.

Firefighters, police and members of the general public got here collectively for an hours-long rescue final yr when a horse named Stetson fled from his New Hampshire residence and have become caught in chest-high mud.
