South Sioux City Superintendent appointed to Nebraska early childhood education board
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) – South Sioux City Community Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Rony Ortega has been appointed to the Board of Early Childhood Education Endowment.
Dr. Ortega was appointed to the board by Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen. The appointment recognizes Dr. Ortega’s commitment to advancing high-quality early childhood education across the state.
The board guides efforts that expand access to early learning opportunities for Nebraska’s youngest learners, especially those at risk.
Dr. Ortega’s leadership, experience in educational equity and vision for student success are important for his work on the board. Dr. Ortega will represent South Sioux City and the perspective of the local community to the state.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to represent South Sioux City and to help ensure that all Nebraska children, regardless of background, have access to strong foundations in early learning,” said Dr. Ortega. “This work is essential to building a brighter future for our families and communities.”
