Nebraska State Patrol to crack down on impaired driving, seatbelt violations during holiday weekend

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (WOWT) – The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) is continuous its “Click on it or Ticket” initiative into the Memorial Day Weekend.

In accordance with NSP, the annual, nationwide “Click on it or Ticket” marketing campaign continues till Sunday, June 5. The marketing campaign sees legislation enforcement crack down on drivers not carrying their seatbelts.

NSP can be working to fight impaired driving through the vacation weekend.

“Memorial Day marks the beginning of the summer season journey season for a lot of throughout the nation,” mentioned Captain Tyler Schmidt, Commander of Troop D – primarily based in North Platte. “As summer season holidays rev up, let’s have a superb begin to this summer season driving season with a secure Memorial Day weekend.”

Troopers in Troop D will likely be doing saturation patrols to fight impaired driving. The elevated effort is funded partially by a $10,030 grant from the Nebraska Division of Transportation Freeway Security Workplace.
