Nebraska State Patrol: Hastings man arrested after troopers find 17 ounces of meth during traffic stop

HASTINGS, Neb. (WOWT) – One individual was arrested after he was allegedly discovered with 17 ounces of meth.

In accordance with the Nebraska State Patrol, troopers arrested a Hastings man after they allegedly discovered multiple pound of meth throughout a site visitors cease.

Troopers say the cease occurred round 12:45 p.m. Friday close to the intersection of Freeway 281 and thirty third Road in Hastings.

Nebraska State Patrol says throughout the site visitors cease a Ok-9 alerted for the odor of a managed substance and troopers searched the car.

Through the search, troopers allegedly discovered 17 ounces of meth.

The driving force, recognized by Nebraska State Patrol as Robert Williams, 52, of Hastings, was arrested for possession of a managed substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp.

The arrest was with help from the TRIDENT Drug Process Drive. The TRIDENT Drive contains the FBI, Nebraska State Patrol, Grand Island PD, Hastings PD, Kearney PD, Corridor County Sheriff’s Workplace, Adams County Sheriff’s Workplace and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Workplace.
