Nebraska lake closed due to blue-green algae

RICHARDSON COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) – The Nebraska Division of Surroundings and Vitality says blue-green algae is in Kirkmans Cove Lake in Richardson County.

Samples taken on the lake present a poisonous stage of microcystin – a toxin that’s launched by the algae.

It’s suggested that the general public avoids direct contact with the water.

They’re additionally advising pet house owners to not let animals go within the water
