Nebraska GOP responds to backlash after tweeting graphic images from children’s book

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) – The Nebraska GOP is dealing with backlash for a graphic tweet posted to its Twitter account Friday criticizing each Nebraska Faculties and the state’s Democratic Social gathering Chief, Jane Kleeb.

The photographs depicted specific comics from some of the banned books throughout America referred to as Gender Queer.

Final yr the writer of the ebook informed NBC information the aim behind a few of the sexually specific photographs was to share the hardships of addressing adolescent sexuality.

Nebraska GOP used photos to make claims that the ebook is in colleges throughout the state and tagged Kleeb within the tweet.

Hours later the tweet was deleted and Nebraska GOP Chairman Eric Underwood issued a proper assertion addressing the incident.

“I used to be notified of a graphic image that was posted on the NEGOP Twitter account,” Underwood stated. “The put up was not licensed. The individual accountable for the tweet has been faraway from the account and is not accountable for any NEGOP communication.
