Monday Flakes: Nebraska VB Wins the Big Ten in Volleyball and Soccer Advances to the Elite Eight
It is Thanksgiving week. All of us will be asked what we are thankful for…repeatedly.
I am thankful that Husker football seems to be headed in the right direction. The recent results would say otherwise, but this season has at least met my expectations and will exceed them if they beat Iowa next week.
I am also thankful for family, friends and a wonderful community here at Corn Nation. Y’all are the best.
I haven’t been as active the past two years as I was before. My current job is extremely demanding and time consuming. I love my job and I am making a difference in the lives of many, many people. I do miss being around all of you as much as I used to be.
So, I guess I am also thankful for the staff that Jon and others have recruited recently. If you hadn’t noticed, they are killing it. We have some of the best coverage anywhere on many Husker sports. All of it is written by people who care. It is written by people who are fans, just like you. It is written by people who do this for the love of the game.
Be thankful that Corn Nation still exists as a community and a place we can all gather to cheer, complain, and discuss. There are many, many websites that no longer exist, or have changed their model to exclude the people who visit and comment.
Thank you for being here and giving us all a reason to write.
