👟 Kansas Travels to Nebraska for First Away Race
LINCOLN, Neb. – Kansas Cross Nation travels to Lincoln, Neb., to race on the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational on Saturday, Sept. seventh.
The ladies would be the first to take to the course, with 10 a.m. CT begin for the 5K, adopted by the lads at 10:45 a.m. CT in an 8K race.
This would be the second competitors for the Jayhawks. Each groups had a robust displaying on the Bob Timmons Traditional on Saturday, Sept. third, hosted by KU at Rim Rock Farms. This can even be the primary journey Kansas will take this season.
The ladies’s scored 43 factors and completed second on the Bob Timmons Traditional, led by Lona Latema who positioned first in a time of 17:28.74. Kenadi Krueger positioned seventh (19:03.85) for Kansas with Tori Wingrove inserting 10th (19:18.24), rounding out KU within the prime 10.
The boys’s workforce received the primary dwelling meet and had been led by Chandler Gibbens, who completed in first place on the dwelling race in a time of 18:21.63.
Six Jayhawks completed within the prime 10 within the males’s 6K, Gibbens (first), Tanner Newkirk (fourth), Tanner Talley (fifth), Quenton Walion (seventh), Christopher Stone (ninth) and Sam Hubert (tenth).

Kansas hits the highway once more on Friday, Sept. thirtieth, for the Gans Creek Traditional, hosted by the College of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.
