Water rescue along the Missouri River near Howell Island

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – First responders launched a number of boats into the Missouri River late Sunday night for a water rescue.

In response to a spokesperson with the Monarch Hearth Safety District, two folks canoeing close to the Howell Island Conservation Space when their boat capsized. One individual made it to shore. In the meantime, rescuers are looking for the second particular person.

A helicopter and drones have been deployed to help rescuers on boats.
