University of Missouri Board of Curators student representative dies in accident

COLUMBIA- Remington Williams, the scholar consultant for the College of Missouri Board of Curators, died in a automotive accident on Wednesday.

As a scholar consultant, Williams acted as the scholar’s voice to the board from all universities within the UM System, together with College of Missouri- Columbia, Kansas Metropolis, Saint Louis and Missouri College of Science and Expertise.

Williams was appointed by Gov. Mike Parson in July 2020 after graduating from Georgetown School in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Enterprise Administration and Spanish.

In response to the Board Chair, Darryl Chatman, he was, “an amazing asset to the Board of Curators. He was actively engaged with the scholars at every of our 4 universities and labored to amplify their successes.”

UM President Mun Choi commented that Remington was deeply related to the scholars because of the truth he was a scholar himself in two UM System universities. He had graduated from the UMKC College of Legislation and was finishing a Grasp of Enterprise Administration at UMSL.

“Remington was the most effective of us, and our ideas are together with his household and mates,” Chatman mentioned.
