Missouri 4-H awards three local volunteers

COLUMBIA, Mo. — A number of native 4-H volunteers obtained the Frank Graham Volunteer Management Award.

There have been 51 volunteers across the state who obtained the award, which acknowledges exemplary volunteers for his or her exhausting work and dedication to serving to Missouri youths develop. “These volunteers have demonstrated loyalty and expertise in creating youth as leaders of right this moment,” stated Missouri 4-H Director Lupita Fabregas.

The award is known as for Frank Graham, who was director of the Missouri 4-H Middle for Youth Growth from 1958 to 1975 and was a founding member of the Missouri 4-H Basis board of trustees. Throughout his 33 years of service, Graham – also called “Mr. 4-H” – was an avid supporter of volunteer management, believing that volunteers are the inspiration of the 4-H program.

The awards have been introduced as a part of Nationwide Volunteer Week occurring from April 17-23.
