Counties Added to Tornado Watch Issued for Central Minnesota

(KNSI) – The Nationwide Climate Service has issued a Twister Look ahead to Benton, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright County in Central Minnesota. The watch is in impact till midnight.

Sturdy to extreme storms are possible late this afternoon by Thursday night, beginning in southwestern Minnesota after which spreading northeast throughout central and jap Minnesota into western Wisconsin.

Damaging wind gusts and huge hail would be the main threats, although just a few tornadoes can’t be dominated out. Extreme climate potential is highest in western and central Minnesota, then diminishing as they transfer eastward.
