Minneapolis, Dallas mayors make wager ahead of the Western Conference finals
MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis and Dallas have a little wager.
On Wednesday Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis and Mayor Eric Johnson of Dallas announced a friendly wager between the two cities as the Minnesota Timberwolves faceoff with the Dallas Mavericks.
If the Wolves beat the Mavericks, Johnson says he’ll send Frey sweets from the Oak Cliff chocolate shop Dude, Sweet Chocolate.
However if the Mavericks beat the Wolves, Frey will send his favorite dessert from Dancing Bear Chocolate.
The Wolves play their first game against the Mavericks Wednesday night. The second game in the series will be played Friday at the Target Center at 7:30 p.m. central time.

Target Announces Partnership With Shopify For 'Target Plus'
MINNEAPOLIS — Target announced Monday that it’s partnering with Shopify to offer a selection of its popular merchants and their products on Target Plus.
Target Plus is the Minneapolis-based retailer’s invite-only, third-party online marketplace
The new partnership with Shopify will expand Target Plus through an assortment of brands like True Classic, Caden Lane, and more, according to the company.
Certain Shopify merchants will be featured both online and in Target stores nationwide.
“It’s table stakes for merchants to be everywhere customers are, and as the world’s leading retail operating system, we make it easier and more accessible for brands to sell directly to their customers on the best channels,” said Harley Finkelstein, president of Shopify, in a statement.
“Partnering with Target helps high-growth brands like Caden Lane and True Classic reach millions of new loyal customers and take their business to the next level.”
Shopify merchants can apply to sell online on Target Plus through Marketplace Connect.

Shooting early Sunday morning injures man in Minneapolis
A man was injured after a shooting in Minneapolis in the early morning hours on Sunday.
Minneapolis police officers responded to the 2900 block of 15th Avenue South just before 4 a.m. on a report of the sound of shots, according to a spokesperson for the department.
Law enforcement later found a man who had been shot and was inside a home on the 1500 block of 28th Street East.
His injuries were non-life-threatening and he was brought to Hennepin Healthcare for treatment of a gunshot wound, according to MPD.
Law enforcement said they later found the scene of the shooting using ShotSpotter and collected evidence. There have been no arrests.
