Patrick Beverley Appeared to Hurl Basketball at Fan During Bucks’ Loss to Pacers

Patrick Beverley appeared to engage in a heated altercation with a fan in the closing minutes of the Milwaukee Bucks’ season-ending loss to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night.
Beverley checked out of the game for good with 2:32 to play. As he stood near the Bucks’ bench, the TNT broadcast captured Beverley calling for a basketball from a nearby fan. When he received the ball, Beverley chucked it back at the fan with what appeared to be some intentional velocity.
It’s unclear what was said between Beverley and the fan before and during this clip, but it’s not a good look for the 35-year-old guard.
Beverley scored six points on 3-of-11 shooting and tallied five assists in 40 minutes during the Bucks’ 120–98 loss at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Milwaukee was eliminated from the playoffs with the loss.
Beverley, who was traded to the Bucks in February, will be an unrestricted free agent this summer heading into his 13th season in the league.

NBA Fans React To Milwaukee Bucks Damian Lillard Announcement

Damian Lillard had his second season with the Milwaukee Bucks cut short when he suffered a season-ending injury in the NBA playoffs.
The future Hall of Famer could end up missing most (or all) of next season.
Via Bucks.com (April 28): “Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard underwent an MRI today that revealed a torn left Achilles tendon. Lillard suffered the injury during the first period of last night’s game vs. Indiana.”
On Monday, Lillard (and the Bucks) made an announcement about his recovery.
Via The Milwaukee Bucks: “Dame making strides. 🙌

Many fans reacted to the news on social media.
@milzwoj: “My goat is already running”
@GiannisGoddess: “Dame is such a beast! Feel like this is only the beginning!”
@NateAndree: “This is actually nuts when you think about what he can do in a court and then is now like this working his way back 🙌”
@bucks_fam: “okay… his left leg clearly moves differently. he can’t put weight on his heels.
Praying for him to recover fully, and not rushing back.”
@2SpacelyXFam: “looking forward to the next chapter 🫡”
@James5538: “Technology advancement is incredible. 🙏🏾 For speedy recovery”
Lillard has spent two seasons in Milwaukee.
While there was a lot of hype about him teaming up with Giannis Antetokounmpo, the team has been unable to get out of the first round.
The All-Star point guard finished this past season with averages of 24.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 44.8% from the field and 37.6% from the three-point range.

Dozens displaced after two large fires in Milwaukee Sunday

MILWAUKEE — Two large residential fires displaced dozens of tenants and left two people with injuries on Sunday.
A four-unit building near 87th St. and Villard Ave. was heavily damaged after catching fire around 2 a.m. One firefighter and one resident suffered minor injuries. 14 people from that building are without a home.
Then a 14-unit building near 45th St. and Hampton Ave. went up in flames around 11:45 a.m. No injuries were reported in that fire. The American Red Cross is helping some of the 23 displaced residents at the St. Paul Lutheran Church on 28th St. and Wisconsin Ave.
According to Milwaukee Fire Department Chief Aaron Lipski, neither building had sprinklers.
We NEED to stop sacrificing SURVIVABILITY for AFFORDABILITY.
— Aaron Lipski (@alipski1) June 1, 2025
The lack of building code requirements for sprinklers in older buildings has come under scrutiny after a deadly Mother’s Day fire killed five people.
The cause of both fires is under investigation.
