Ann Arbor receives gold status by state of Michigan sustainability challenge

ANN ARBOR – Tree City is a frontrunner in environmental motion, in accordance with the outcomes of the annual Michigan Inexperienced Communities Problem.

The problem, a program by the Michigan Inexperienced Communities (MGC), tracks how collaborating native governments are shifting in the direction of their sustainability progress and awards gold, silver and bronze standing.

Ann Arbor was given gold standing for the 2021 problem and acknowledged for its vitality effectivity, clear mobility, supplies administration and local weather resilience and adaptation, a Metropolis of Ann Arbor launch stated.

Total, 22 metropolis governments obtained gold standing from the MGC Problem. Twelve have been acknowledged on the silver standing and 10 on the bronze standing. The Metropolis of Ypsilanti and Pittsfield Constitution Township are two different Washtenaw County communities to obtain gold standing.

MGC is a free program that helps governments as they create extra sustainable futures for his or her residents and the state.
