Woman killed in semi vs. pickup truck crash in Western Kansas

STANTON CO., Kan. (WIBW) – A Kansas girl was killed Thursday afternoon when a semi-truck struck her car on the intersection of a freeway in western Kansas close to the Colorado border.

In keeping with the KHP crash logs, simply after 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, Gladis Antillon Garcia, 46, of Johnson Metropolis, was driving south on Kansas Freeway 27 in a Chevy pickup truck. When she started to show east on the intersection of K27 and US Freeway 160, she was struck by a Peterbilt 386 semi-truck.

Garcia was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

The driving force of the semi-truck, Abram Boschman, 28, of Logan, New Mexico, was taken to Stanton County Hospital with severe accidents.

The crash log signifies neither driver was sporting a seatbelt on the time of the crash.
