Residents report shakes following early-morning central Kansas earthquake

BENNINGTON, Kan. (WIBW) – A 3.2 earthquake was reported north of Bennington, Kansas, early Thursday morning.

In response to studies from the U.S. Geological Survey, the origin of the earthquake was discovered 4 miles north of Bennington, Kansas. The earthquake was recorded at roughly 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 6.

The interactive map supplied by USGS reveals that residents who felt the quake had been in areas like Salina, Wichita, and Newton — situated east of Hutchinson.
