Kansas City Monarchs hold championship ring ceremony ahead of home opener

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Earlier than hitting the diamond on Friday evening, the Kansas Metropolis Monarchs held a championship ring ceremony to rejoice the group’s 2021 American Affiliation title.

Final September, the Monarchs swept the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks to win their third American Affiliation title.

Bob Kendrick, president of the Negro League’s Baseball Museum, led the ceremony Friday evening.

The Monarchs face the Sioux Metropolis Explorers of their dwelling opener at Legends Discipline in Kansas Metropolis, Kansas.
