Worthington man killed in Monday morning crash near Sheldon, Iowa

SHELDON, Iowa — A 44-year-old Worthington man is useless and three 17-year-old juveniles had been severely injured in a crash reported at 6:22 a.m. Monday on Iowa 18 at Marsh Avenue, close to Sheldon.

Samuel Garcia Ruiz was a backseat passenger in a westbound 2006 Ford Focus pushed by Manuel Garcia Calachij, 17, of Worthington, that reportedly crossed the middle line on Iowa 18, hanging a 2016 Peterbilt semi tractor-trailer head-on. The semi then jack-knifed throughout each lanes of visitors. The knowledge was supplied by the Iowa State Patrol.

All 4 occupants of the Ford Focus had been entrapped within the automobile. The motive force is reportedly in crucial situation with life-threatening accidents. Two 17-year-old feminine passengers had been reportedly in critical situation. Names of the feminine passengers weren’t launched by the Iowa State Patrol.

Ruiz was reportedly not carrying a seatbelt. The motive force was carrying a seatbelt and was transported to the Sheldon Hospital. One feminine passenger wore a seatbelt, whereas the opposite didn’t. Each females had been additionally transported to the Sheldon Hospital by the Boyden-Sheldon EMS.

The motive force of the Peterbilt semi was Kris Marra, 54, of Sioux Heart, Iowa. Marra was towing a Wilson grain trailer and was not listed as having obtained any accidents.
