Tim McDermott named Director of Legislative Services Agency

DES MOINES, Iowa – On Friday, Iowa Home Speaker Pat Grassley, R-New Hartford, and Iowa Senate Majority Chief Jack Whitver, R-Ankeny, introduced the appointment of Tim McDermott as Director of the Legislative Companies Company (LSA). McDermott was named interim director on January 8, 2021.

 McDermott has labored in state authorities for over 28 years.  Most of that point has been spent in numerous positions with the Legislative Companies Company together with serving as Division Director of the Authorized Companies Division, Division Administrator of the Fiscal Companies Division, and Senior Authorized Counsel with the Authorized Companies Division.  Previous to that service, he was a legislation clerk for each the Supreme Courtroom of Iowa and the Iowa Courtroom of Appeals.  McDermott holds a B.A. in Enterprise Economics from the Faculty of Wooster and a J.D. from the Wake Forest College Faculty of Regulation.
