Patricia A. “Pat” Owens, age 86, of Washington, Iowa, handed away Monday, October 17, 2022, on the Washington County Hospital after a decline in well being.

Pat was born July 28, 1936, in rural Riverside, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Ella (Havel) Fisher. She attended Farmer’s Nation College and later graduated from Crawfordsville Excessive College in 1954. Pat acquired her Educating Certificates from Iowa Wesleyan School in Mt. Nice, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Daryl “Dusty” Owens on July 5, 1958, on the United Methodist Church of Crawfordsville.

Pat and Daryl lived south of Cotter, Iowa; in Crawfordsville, Iowa; and east of Ainsworth, Iowa; earlier than transferring to Washington in 1993. She taught grade faculty in Riverside for 2 years and taught 4 years in Cotter, Iowa. She assisted her husband with the household farm operation for a few years. Pat was a member of the Ainsworth Neighborhood Church and belonged to the Braden Membership in Crawfordsville and the County Line Membership in Ainsworth. She performed basketball whereas in highschool and he or she continued her love of the game by watching basketball on TV. She was a devoted Alumnus of Crawfordsville Excessive College, not often lacking an Alumni banquet. Household was Pat’s foremost focus in life. She loved her kids and grandchildren and cherished attending their occasions.

She is survived by her husband Daryl “Dusty” Owens of Washington, Iowa; son, Mike (Teresa) Owens of Mt. Nice, Iowa; daughter, Lynn (Craig) Wright of Brighton, Iowa; daughter, Kim (Jeff) Hazelett of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Wendy (Ted) Greiner of Keota, Iowa; 9 grandchildren: Stacy (Jared) Holtgrewe, Rachel (Chris) Watters, Amanda (Tyler) Russell, Macy (Chris) Hallinan, Brett (Hayley) Wright, Tyler Hazelett, Austin Hazelett, Garrett Greiner and Ella Greiner; in addition to six great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in loss of life by her mother and father; great-granddaughter, Harlyn Dusty Holtgrewe; and three brothers, Keith, Fred and Jerry Fisher.
