Iowa State students raise money for Puerto Rico hurricane relief

AMES, Iowa (WOI) – Some Iowa State College students are elevating cash for hurricane aid in Puerto Rico.

WOI stories the group is a part of the ‘Puerto Rican Scholar Affiliation,’ and so they’re elevating cash and directing folks to donate to nationwide organizations just like the Hispanic Federation.

Mariangelis Rosa, the social media coordinator for the group, is the one member of her household in Iowa.

She stated the storm took off the roof of her childhood house.

“Proper now the perfect we will do is ship cash as a result of the fabric stuff are going to be more durable to get there,” Rosa stated.

The regional communications supervisor at American Crimson Cross Nebraska-Iowa stated her group can also be serving to Puerto Rico.

They’re elevating cash, but in addition searching for manpower.
