Introductory RUSLE2 Soil Loss and Iowa Phosphorus Workshop Planned in December

AMES, Iowa – A Dec. 13 workshop will present a chance for producers to study extra in regards to the Revised Common Soil Loss Equation 2 (RUSLE2), in addition to the Iowa Phosphorus Index. The workshop will probably be held in Altoona and is a collaborative effort between the Iowa Division of Pure Assets, the US Division of Agriculture and Iowa State College Extension and Outreach. Registration is $200, and a Home windows appropriate laptop with a USB port and Microsoft Excel Software program is required.

The RUSLE2 equation is a instrument stakeholders can use to calculate soil loss for a given subject and is important for figuring out the Iowa Phosphorus Index.

The morning portion of the workshop will give attention to putting in software program packages, performing dominant crucial space determinations, and working RUSLE2. This workshop qualifies for six Licensed Crop Advisor (CCA) Credit (5SW, 1NM) and three Skilled Improvement Hours (PDH).  Participation certificates will probably be offered upon completion of the workshop.

Registration will probably be restricted to 30 members and is $200 earlier than Dec. 8, and $225 thereafter. The workshop will probably be held on the ISU Extension and Outreach Polk County Workplace, positioned at 1625 Adventureland Drive, Suite A, Altoona.
