FORMER WEST HARRISON SCHOOL TEACHER ARRESTED FOR INAPPROPRIATE CONTACT WITH STUDENTS

LOGAN, Iowa – On April 22, 2022, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Workplace acquired a report of a potential inappropriate relationship between former West Harrison College Trainer Benjamin J. Work and a minor pupil.  The Harrison County Sheriff’s Workplace, together with brokers from the Iowa Division of Legal Investigation, initiated an investigation into the allegation.  

Mr. Work was positioned on administrative go away by the West Harrison College District on April 22, 2022.

Throughout the investigation, legislation enforcement recognized six minor college students that Mr. Work had reportedly had inappropriate contact with between the autumn of 2021 and spring of 2022.

On June 3, 2022, Mr. Work resigned from the West Harrison Neighborhood College District.

On June 10, 2022, Benjamin Work was arrested at his residence with out incident.  Mr. Work was transported and booked into the Harrison County Correctional Facility.  Mr. Work has been charged with 5 counts of Sexual Exploitation by a College Worker (Class D Felony), 5 counts of Lascivious Conduct with a Minor (Severe Misdemeanor) and two counts of Indecent Contact with a Youngster (Aggravated Misdemeanor).

Word: A felony cost is merely an accusation and defendant is presumed harmless till confirmed responsible.
