DCI Investigates Cedar Rapids Officer-Involved Shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – On July 30, 2022, at roughly 3:52 a.m., Cedar Rapids cops carried out a car cease for erratic driving within the 2200 block of Glass Highway NE.  The motive force of the car brandished a firearm and gunfire was exchanged between the motive force and two Cedar Rapids cops. The motive force sustained gunshot injures and is at the moment being handled on the College of Iowa Hospital.  The cops weren’t injured.  

The Cedar Rapids Police Division requested the Division of Prison Investigation’s help to analyze the incident.  

The title of the injured topic won’t be launched at the moment, pending notification of household.  The names of the cops won’t be launched at the moment.
