City of Riverdale awarded grants to plant Iowa native trees around the city

RIVERDALE, Iowa (KWQC) – The Metropolis of Riverdale has been awarded two grants to plant bushes native to the state of Iowa on metropolis and faculty property.

In collaboration with Riverdale Heights Elementary Faculty and Quercus Land Stewardship Providers, LLC, the Metropolis of Riverdale has been awarded the ‘Timber for Children’ grant from the Iowa Division of Nature Sources.

Town has additionally been awarded the ‘Timber Please!’ grant from MidAmerican Vitality. The aim of the grant program is to exchange bushes misplaced by pure disasters, improve vitality effectivity and assist make the group a greater place to reside.
