INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 39-41) scored seven runs within the third inning and beat Iowa (Cubs), 7-2. 1B Mason Martin (.202) went 1 for 4 with a two-run homer, his thirteenth. C Carter Bins (.211) went 2 for 3 with a homer, his fourth. LF Travis Swaggerty (.274) went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs. 2B Tucupita Marcano (.333) and RF Bligh Madris (.309) every went 2 for 4. DH Jake Marisnick (thumb) went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts on a rehab project. RHP Miguel Yajure (2-1, 6.10) began and went 5 innings, permitting one run on three hits with six strikeouts, to earn the win.

Subsequent: Saturday vs. Iowa (Cubs), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 40-39) cut up a doubleheader with Akron (Guardians). The Curve misplaced the opener, 8-3. RHP Aaron Shortridge (6.75) began and gave up two runs on two hits in two innings. RHP Brad Case (0-1, 3.50) gave up six runs on seven hits in 4 innings to take the loss. Altoona managed two hits. C Blake Sabol (.252) went 1 for 3 with a double. CF Matthew Fraizer (.221) went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Altoona gained the second recreation, 6-5, in eight innings. SS Liover Peguero (.275) went 2 for 4 with a three-run homer, his sixth. CF Connor Scott (.255) went 3 for 4 with an RBI. SS Andres Alvarez (.250) went 2 for five with a double and an RBI. LF Fabricio Macias (.286) went 2 for 4. RHP JC Flowers (5-5, 3.23) pitched 3.2 scoreless innings of aid, permitting one hit and fanning 5, to earn the win. LHP Tyler Samaniego (3.00) labored a scoreless eighth for his sixth save.

GREENSBORO (Excessive-A, 34-44) pounded Greenville (Pink Sox), 14-2. 2B Dariel Lopez (.266) went 3 for 4 along with his twelfth dwelling run and 4 RBIs. CF Hudson Head (.222) went 3 for five along with his fifth homer and two RBIs. DH Eli Wilson (.235) went 2 for 4 along with his third homer. LF Ernny Ordonez (.235) went 2 for 4 with a double. RHP Jared Jones (3-4, 5.06) began and was the profitable pitcher, permitting two runs on 5 hits with six strikeouts in 6.1 innings. RHP Ricky DeVito pitched 2.2 scoreless innings of aid.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 37-41) clobbered Lakeland (Tigers), 15-9. CF Greg Allen (hamstring), on a rehab project, led off and went 1 for 4. RF Rodolfo Nolasco (.227) went 2 for 3 with a double, his eighth homer and two walks. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.254) went 2 for five along with his fourth homer. DH Maikol Escotto (.350) went 3 for six with a double and three RBIs. 3B Norkis Marcos (.151) went 2 for six with a double and a pair of RBIs. 2B Deivis Nadal (.243) went 2 for 3 and drove in three runs. RHP Johan Montero (2-0, 4.50) pitched 2.1 innings of aid, giving up one run on three hits, to earn the win.
