INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 58-65) gave up two runs in the seventh and lost 4-3 to Iowa (Cubs). RHP Roansy Contreras (2.81) started and went five innings, allowing two runs on six hits, incuding a homer. He struck out six and walked none. RHP John O’Reilly (3-5, 4.58) gave up two runs on two hits and two walks to take the loss. RHP Wil Crower (4.82) threw two scoreless innings and RHP JC Flowers (9.09) pitched a scoreless frame. SS Nick Gonzales (.265) went 1 for 4 with his eighth homer. CF Ryan Vilade (.265) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. RF Miguel Andujar (.344) went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored. DH Aaron Shackelford (.228) went 1 for 4 with a triple and a run scored.

Next: Sunday at Iowa (Cubs), 1:35 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 57-59) scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to rally for a 9-8 win over Rome (Braves) in No. 1 draft pick Paul Skenes’ Double-A debut. Skenes started, recorded two outs and gave up four runs on three hits and two walks. CF Matt Gorski (.243) had an RBI double and C Carter Bins (.170) delivered the walk-off run-scoring single in the ninth. Gorski went 3 for 5 with three runs scored. Bins also went 3 for 5 with a run scored. DH Joe Perez went 3 for 3 with his sixth homer, two walks, two runs scored and two RBIs. 3B Jackson Glenn (.286) went 1 for 5 and drove in a pair. RF Matt Fraizer (.261) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. LHP Geronimo Franzua (1-2, 4.41) pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the win.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 63-53) was doubled up by Rome (Braves), 4-2. RHP Po-Yu Chen (5-7, 4.07) started and allowed four runs on six hits in three innings. RHP Santiago Florez (6.18) and RHP Jake Stevenson (1.88) each pitched two scoreless innings and LHP Julian Bosnic (8.53) threw a scoreless eighth. LF Luke Brown (.242) went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk and two RBIs. 2B Jack Brannigan (.306) went 1 for 4 with a double.

Next: Sunday at Rome (Braves), 1 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 67-51) was outslugged 8-7 by Jupiter (Marlins). CF Lonnie White Jr. (.256) went 2 for 5 with a two-run homer, his sixth. LF Setgio Campana (.225) went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI. 2B Jesus Castillo (.215) was 2 for 4 with a run scored. LHP Dominic Perachi (4.78) started and allowed four runs on three hits and three walks in three innings. LHP Jaden Woods (0-1, 4.22) gave up four runs on six hits in 1.2 innings to take the loss. RHP Landon Tomkins (4.09) pitched two scoreless innings and RHP Drake Fellows (13.50) threw a scoreless inning.
