Man stabbed in attempted robbery downtown

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person was stabbed downtown in what detectives consider stemmed from an tried theft Sunday night, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Division says.

Simply after 4 p.m. Sunday, IMPD responded to a report of an individual stabbed on East Washington Road. Officers arrived and positioned a person with two stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital in good situation.

Detectives have spoken with witnesses to find video footage of the incident or the suspect leaving the scene.

Anybody with info is requested to name IMPD at 317-327-3475.  If anybody has an figuring out info on the suspect, they will name Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
