INDIANAPOLIS — A murder investigation is underway after one individual was killed in a capturing close to I-65 in Greenwood.

The incident occurred round 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on County Line Highway. Indiana State Police say regulation enforcement officers discovered a person with gunshot wounds inside a white work van.

Investigators say the person and a girl, who was additionally within the van, have been touring east on County Line Highway when an unknown suspect fired at them. The person died on the scene.
