INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A person who shot and wounded two southern Indiana judges outdoors an Indianapolis quick meals restaurant in 2019 has been convicted on seven of eight felonies and one misdemeanor.
After a three-day trial, a jury discovered Brandon Kaiser responsible on Wednesday of aggravated battery, a number of battery-related fees, and carrying a handgun with no license. He was acquitted on one depend of battery leading to reasonable bodily harm.
He’s scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 21.
Clark County Circuit judges Brad Jacobs and Andrew Adams have been shot throughout a dispute within the parking zone of a downtown White Citadel restaurant. Kaiser claimed he was appearing in self-defense.
Disciplinary fees have been filed towards Jacobs, Adams, and a 3rd decide, now-former Crawford Circuit Choose Sabrina Bell, for his or her roles within the incident. The trio was in Indianapolis for a convention.
