Indianapolis twins go to prison after using car to bust into Speedway gun store

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis twin brothers will every spend over three years in federal jail after stealing firearms and ramming a stolen automobile right into a Speedway gun retailer, in line with the U.S. Division of Justice.

19-year-old Jayveon Majors of Indianapolis was sentenced to 38 months in federal jail after pleading responsible to theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee.

Jayveon’s brother, 19-year-old Tayveon Majors of Indianapolis, was sentenced to 40 months in federal jail final 12 months after pleading responsible to stealing firearms.

In accordance with courtroom papers, on the morning of Jan. 21, 2021, Jayveon drove his brother to an Indianapolis automobile dealership, the place Tayveon stole a automobile. The brothers then drove to a gun retailer in Speedway the place Tayveon used the automobile to smash a gap into the facet of the shop to realize entry to the constructing.

Video surveillance footage reveals Tayveon carrying firearms out of the shop and loading them into the getaway automobile. Jayveon then drove the automobile, his brother, and the weapons to their dwelling in Indianapolis.

Tayveon stole 10 firearms from the shop’s stock and one other he discovered on the property.

On Jan. 26, 2021, police discovered and arrested the brothers. They discovered 4 of the stolen weapons.
