Indianapolis man arrested after shooting at Anderson gas station

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — An Anderson man was arrested in connection to the capturing of an Indianapolis man Wednesday afternoon inside a gasoline station, Anderson Police Division mentioned Thursday.

Maine Diamond, 28, remained in critical situation in intensive care at an Indianapolis hospital, the division mentioned in a information launch issued Thursday evening.

Police have been known as to a capturing at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday on the Conoco station at 1002 Nichol Ave. That’s close to downtown on the intersection with Madison Avenue.

Bernard M. Stidhum, 33, of Anderson, surrendered to authorities as a part of a search warrant issued for a house within the 1500 block of West Fourth Avenue. That’s a residential space close to River Bend Park within the Madison County metropolis.

Caleb McKnight, the division’s public info officer, says Stidhum entered the gasoline station and started capturing at Diamond.

Stidhum, in response to information from the Madison County jail and an internet courtroom information system, was final charged Sept. 14 in Anderson Metropolis Courtroom with driving whereas suspended with a previous suspension inside 10 years, and refusal to determine self whereas stopped for infraction/ordinance. No bond had been set.

Stidhum has different instances listed in on-line courtroom information involving driving expenses in Anderson, Elwood and Hancock County.

Diamond was taken to an Anderson hospital and later moved to an Indianapolis hospital.
