The Indianapolis Colts have someone who they hope will be their quarterback of the future in Anthony Richardson. He has officially been named their starter for the regular season, so we won’t have to wait long to see how he’ll pan out at the NFL level.

One of the best ways to find out how the Colts will perform this season is by looking at their betting odds. Nobody knows better than Vegas.

If you want my best bet for the Colts this season, you can find it in my “32 bets for all 32 NFL teams” article, which you can read here. I’ll warn you, Colts fans, you’re probably not going to like my take.

In this article, I’m going to break down the full list of betting odds for the Colts for the 2023 campaign. Let’s dive into it.

The Colts have the third longest odds to win Super Bowl 58 at FanDuel Sportsbook. Only the Cardinals and Texans at +18000 have longer odds.

To be fair, I don’t know if you’d find a Colts fan out there that thinks the Colts have a realistic shot at making a deep playoff run. This season is all about creating the building blocks for the coming years. A strong showing by Anthony Richardson and surpassing their record from 2022 is likely going to be enough to satisfy most fans.

At +10000 odds, they have an implied probability of 0.99% of winning Super Bowl 58. If you do want to bet on them to lift the Lombardi Trophy, a $100 bet would win you a profit of $10,000 if they manage to achieve the feat.

The good news is that oddsmakers expect the Colts to take a step in the right direction this season. With a win total of 6.5, they’re expected to improve on their 4-12-1 record from last season. With that being said, a 6-11 or 7-10 record won’t be enough to make the playoffs, but at least they’d be moving in the right direction.

It’s worth noting the Colts have the third easiest record in the NFL and the number one easiest record in the AFC based on opponent win total projections.

The AFC South will go through Jacksonville this season, but at least the Colts don’t have the longest odds to win the division. That honor goes to the Texans who are 10/1 to win the AFC South.

The Colts last won the division when Andrew Luck was their quarterback in 2018 and they have an implied probability of just 12.5% to do it this season. A $100 bet on them winning the AFC South would win you a profit of $700 if they’re able to pull it off.

Odds aren’t in their favor to make the playoffs either. Yes, they have an easy schedule, but you still need a strong roster to make the playoffs in the NFL and the Colts starting lineup isn’t anything to write home about. Jonathan Taylor would have to return to his 2021 form and Anthony Richardson would need to be a Rookie of the Year candidate for them to have any shot.

+350 odds gives them an implied probability of 22.22% of making a postseason appearance.

Zaire Franklin regular season tackles leader (+1400)

Zaire Franklin had a monster 2022 season, wraping up 167 combined tackles which was good enough for fourth in the NFL. Only Foye Olokun, Nick Bolton, and Roquon Smith finished with more tackles last season. That should set up Frankline to bet in a great spot to ahve another chance at least the NFL in that stat this season.

At 14/1, this is fantastic value on Franklin to be the 2023 tackles leader.
