Indianapolis bookstore receives bomb threat over ‘drag story hours’

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A neighborhood bookstore closed it’s doorways Sunday as a consequence of a bomb menace.

Indy Reads, a non-profit bookstore situated in downtown Indianapolis, introduced on Instagram that it could be closing it’s doorways as a consequence of a bomb menace obtained through electronic mail on Sunday morning.

Based on a submit written by Indy Reads CEO Ruba Marshood, a number of staff obtained an electronic mail from an unknown tackle which indicated {that a} bomb had been locations on the Fountain Sq. bookstore. Police investigated the shop and located no indication of hazard onsite.

The submit states that the shop was threatened by the unknown assailant due to it’s month-to-month drag story hours.

The shop will reopen on Wednesday, March 29 at 11 a.m.
