IMPD arrests 5, recovers 4 illegal guns – WISH-TV | Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Division arrested 5 males Saturday for possessing unlawful weapons and marijuana.

Detectives recognized 18-year-old Kentavion Lowe, who was making threats in retaliation for a current taking pictures, and tracked him close to the 4900 block of Julian Avenue. Later that day, Officers regulated a site visitors cease of a car that Lowe was in.

In line with officers, there was a powerful odor of marijuana within the car.

Throughout a search of the car, officers discovered the next:

• Handgun with a scratched serial quantity, prolonged journal, and Glock change
• Assault rifle-styled pistol with a scratched serial quantity and a Glock change
• Handgun with a prolonged journal
• Handgun
• Marijuana

Glock switches connect to weapons and convert the weapons from semi-automatic to computerized.

Officers made the next arrests:

• 18-year-old Kentavion Lowe – possession of a machine gun and possession of a firearm with a scratched serial quantity
• 19-year-old Dwayne Johnson – possession of a firearm by a prohibited particular person
• 18-year-old Christian Richardson – possession of a machine gun and possession of a firearm with a scratched serial quantity
• 18-year-old Sylvarion Crayton – possession of marijuana
• 18-year-old Jeremiah Kimbrough – possession of a machine gun and possession of a firearm with a scratched serial quantity
