Immigrant welcome center kicks off welcome week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Immigrant Welcome Middle kicked off their welcome week Thursday on the Indianapolis Central Public Library.

It’s an effort to deliver collectively neighbors of all backgrounds to construct sturdy connections and affirm the significance of welcoming and inclusive locations. This years theme was “The place we Belong.”

“It’s a nationwide effort to make our cities and neighborhoods welcoming to all together with immigrants. Those that have pals that grew to become residents, who simply grew to become residents. It’s a celebration of citizenship,” Qais Faqiri, advertising and communication supervisor, mentioned.

The Immigrant Welcome Middle strives to be a trusted associate and advocate for all immigrants.

Welcome week occasions are scheduled by Sept. 18.
