Firefighters investigating apartment fire on Marian University campus

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Fire Department was investigating an apartment fire that broke out in graduate student dorms on an Indianapolis college campus Saturday morning.

Around 7:47 a.m., firefighters with the IFD were dispatched to Marian University at 3200 Cold Spring Road on a report of an apartment fire.

IFD told News 8 that the fire was likely caused by a lightning strike. Four apartment units were impacted by the fire.

Investigators also say no one was injured and are working to gather information on the extent of the damage.
