Final suspect sentenced in murder of pregnant Indianapolis woman in 2015

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The ultimate of three males charged with the homicide of a pregnant lady in 2015 has now been sentenced.

Larry Jo Taylor obtained an 86-year sentence for the homicide of Amanda Blackburn. Blackburn, 28 on the time of her homicide, was the spouse of pastor Davey Blackburn.

Taylor was convicted in September for Blackburn’s homicide, together with costs of theft, felony confinement, housebreaking, auto theft and carrying a handgun and not using a license.

“Almost seven years after this tragic and mindless homicide, justice has been secured for Amanda,” Prosecutor Ryan Mears mentioned in a press release. “I commend the Blackburn household and the group for the large quantity of persistence and beauty they’ve proven all through this course of. We hope that at the moment’s decision offers finality to a really tough chapter.”

Co-defendants Jalen Watson and Diano Gordon obtained sentences of 29 years and 25 years, respectively.

The trio have been linked to a sequence of crimes in late 2015.

Taylor nonetheless has a pending case for the homicide of Rolando Gonzalez-Hernandez lower than every week earlier than Blackburn’s homicide. He’s due again in courtroom in November for that case.
