Driver dies in crash, car fire near 62nd and Binford on Indianapolis’ northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS — A driver died early Monday on town’s northeast aspect after they crashed right into a landscaping, inflicting their car to catch hearth, police say.

Officers discovered the car engulfed in flames whereas they responded to a report of a car on hearth about 2:20 a.m. to the 6200 block of Knyghton Street, in keeping with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Division. That is close to Binford Boulevard and East 62nd Avenue.
