The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will host the Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Saturday, Sept. 9 at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis. With September being national suicide prevention awareness month, the walk is a voyage of remembrance, hope, love, and support for those impacted by suicide.

AFSP is the nation’s leading organization dedicated to preventing suicide. AFSP engages in research, education, and advocacy to raise awareness about the issue and to prevent it from happening. AFSP also provides support to those affected by suicide.

The Out of the Darkness Indianapolis Walk is a day to remember those who have lost their lives to suicide, to celebrate the strength of those who have been affected, and to raise awareness about the importance of mental health.

Participants can check in for the walk as early as 12:30 p.m. Registration is open now and can be done online here.
