IMPD says the 911 call disconnected before the caller could give an address. However, map technology was used to trace the scene.

IMPD says the shooting happened near the clubhouse of an apartment complex where a graduation party was taking place. However, it is unknown if the juveniles were there for the party.

According to IMPD, the two juveniles went to a picnic table to smoke when several individuals arrived and opened fire on them. IMPD says multiple witnesses said the suspects were involved in a gang.

IMPD says after the initial shots were fired, people from the graduation party ran to the area and tried to help the victims. The suspects started to shoot at them as well. None of them were struck.

The number of suspects is unknown at this time, but they fled the area by foot.

Anyone with information should call IMPD Detective Sanchez at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
