THREE INDIANA HIGH RUNNERS QUALIFY FOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS; UNITED BOYS SOCCER MOVES ON
CROSS COUNTRY
Three Indiana Excessive cross nation runners certified for the state championship meet in Hershey following prolific performances on the WPIAL Class AA Championships yesterday at Cal U.
The women completed 7th out of 30 groups and have been led by freshman Addy Fry, who punched her ticket to Hershey with a 26th place end out of 203 runners. Following her was Rachel Gill, who took 33rd with a time of 21:25. Chloe Hain got here in 42nd, Emmy Davis in 48th, Belinda Lin in 56th, Kaylee Onder in 87th, and Maddy Bauer in 135th.
The boys positioned 9th out of 32 groups and have been led by state qualifiers Jon Berzonsky, who took 18th place out of 231 runners, and Seth Weaver, who took 26th. Jacob Gill positioned 63rd, Will Berzonsky took 72nd, Tommy Kauffman positioned 91st, Brennan Huff was 100th and Jaiden Myers was 127th.
The state meet will happen November 5th.
VOLLEYBALL
The Indiana Excessive ladies’ volleyball crew bowed out of the WPIAL Class AAA playoffs after falling to Thomas Jefferson, 3-1, Wednesday night time.
After the Jaguars took the primary set, 25-16, Indiana rebounded with a 25-23 second set win. Thomas Jefferson answered by taking the subsequent two units.
Abbie Huey had 24 kills with 10 digs and a service ace. Katie Kovalchick had six kills, two aces and three blocks. Emily Madey had 34 assists.
Indiana finishes the season with a 10-6 report.
DISTRICT VI BOYS SOCCER
The United Lions took down the Bishop Carroll Huskies, 4-3, within the second spherical of the District VI Boys Class A soccer playoffs yesterday. They now face prime seeded Richland on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
