Second Indiana judge blocks Abortion Ban bill from taking effect

INDIANAPOLIS — A second choose has blocked Indiana’s new abortion regulation (Senate Invoice 1) from taking impact.

A Marion County choose says the passage of the invoice violates the Indiana Spiritual Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).

The go well with was filed on behalf of members of the Jewish and Islamic faiths.

A choose first blocked the invoice from taking impact in September, stating it violates the Indiana Structure.

The case is scheduled to come back earlier than the Indiana Supreme Court docket in January.
