NW Indiana traffic on I-80/94 disrupted by 2 crashes involving semi, truck carrying concrete pipes

HAMMOND, Ind. (WLS) — An overturned semi-trailer and one other truck that spilled a load of concrete pipes have brought about important issues on I-80/94 in northwest Indiana Monday morning.

A semi-trailer overturned on eastbound I-80/94, blocking all lanes earlier than US-41/Calumet Ave/Exit 1 and creating a serious visitors backup.

One other crash concerned a truck occurred furter east on I-80/94 close to Cline Avenue, authorities stated.

At about 3:45 a.m., a truck carrying 32,000 kilos of concrete pipes hit a wall within the eastbound lanes.

The crash has left one lane block. Authorities are shifting the truck to the exit ramp and can herald one other truck to hold the load, which may take a number of hours.
